AI INTEGRATION

IS IT MANDATORY TO BUILD AN APP THAT INTEGRATES AI?

    Hi there,

    It is not technically mandatory to build something integrating AI but being that it's the theme of the hackathon, I would highly recommend sticking to it. If you're building something brand new, build an all-new app or integration and submit it via the Canva Developers Portal using one of the featured developer tools:

    Apps SDK
    Connect API

    If you're adding onto an already existing project, Projects that existed prior to the hackathon but that had not been submitted for review via Canva’s developer portal are allowed and considered new for the purposes of this hackathon, however they must still meet all other requirements.
    If the app or integration was previously submitted for review or is already live in the Canva Apps Marketplace, the app or integration must have been significantly updated to utilize either the Selection API or the Overlay API, and submitted for review after the start of the Hackathon Submission Period. Entrants should explain how their Project was significantly updated during the Submission Period.
